imo its a bit different than s/t from the perspective of the style of instrumentation i do think the vocals and the song structuring is similar though

Was going to say, I can hear this as a track off the last album. Anthony would’ve had less clean/melodic vocals I suspect. But it would’ve felt less anthemic based on how Anthony's vocals were on the last album. It sounds like everyone agrees this isn’t meandering and moody in the same way ISOSG was though. It definitely feels like it’ll scratch an itch for me, I didn't want something in the vein of Voices or You’re Not Alone.
It’s good. Honestly I’m a little lukewarm on the lyrics but Cove sounds great. The band is definitely rocking out.
feel like lyrics have never really been coves strong suit tbf the major exception being reinas song off the dead american album, which is mandatory listening (even if tbh not much else from them is)
Yea i hear Sleepers the most, i started singing those lyrics at one point. This track is really great tho, not a knock
first impression of cove on this song (and in recent live videos) is that his range is impressive now. i think he must have worked super hard to get there. his melodies here arent super memorable at first brush but still serviceable.
This isn't something I asked for but it's pretty good! I can say with a certainty that I like this better than most LS Dunes songs and like half of tsoaf the maiden tracks.
