Getting to hear so many individual tracks and see the editing process is pretty sick, regardless of how you feel about that album.
I saw a video of them with cove from the last year and he sounded actually really good. I think he must’ve worked really hard on some conditioning. I’ve heard some of his other non Saosin stuff from lately and it was all lower register and boring from what I remember, and I remember what he sounded like live fifteen years ago before Saosin called it - so I was surprised to see him killing it now.
I saw Saosin with Alexis back in the day and yeah they didn’t sound so tight but I’m pretty stoked for the next chapter after loving their self titled record all these years.
I’m sure he is talking about AOF. Saosin/Alexisonfire was one of my first non warped tour shows ever.
On that stream Beau played an instrumental clip of a new song written entirely by Phil and it sounded sick, kind of in the vein of Collapse.
Had no idea Phil did some writing as well. I assumed Beau was handling all the writing duties after Justin got kicked out
Are they doing a "Beau's version" of self-titled? That'd be neat. Or just put Bury Your Head on the new album that's fine too.
It’s been mentioned, they’re re-recording the bug album so they can own it. And that’s coming before the new record.
Beau doing way more backing vocals WITH Cove, is hitting the spot for me I think.. I love when Beau sings. Dude can do it when he wants.
Hard to tell with a demo, but I think it could have worked! I was expecting this to be really bad but for a demo it isn’t bad at all.
