This is cool. Saosin drift into the wilderness so often it feels. Now having lots of tour dates planned, and seemingly a bit of a commitment to a new era, this is super exciting. I have no idea what this album could sound like. With no major record label pressure too, it'll be really interesting.
Anthony Green just walked past me on the sidewalk and it caught me so off guard guess he’s playing Ferndale tonight! Wish i could go
Beau has said on the discord that they hope to someday do a Cove/Anthony track. Or there was a plan to, cant remember. Found the quote " Time will tell. New album won’t be available until next year. Focusing on self titled right now. Touring self titled, and I’m slammed with albums. We have a lot of great new material I haven’t showed anyone on stream yet. I think it will be great. Yes a Jessie / Howard style song is on our wish list. Don’t believe the gossip websites."
I’d love a ST tour. One of the first albums in this scene that I absolutely fell in love with. Remember seeing them at Warped in 2006 and had no idea who they were, but loved their live set. Picked up the self titled on a whim when it was released that fall and was floored by it. I never thought Cove would ever rejoin them. It’s really cool to see everyone grow and come back together.
Its technically not a "Saosin" one, but Beaus personal one because he Twitch streams all the time. EDIT: Forgot to actually answer your question... Its not crazy populated but theres a few regulars and when he streams its more active.
Well his main gig is producing, so a lot of him doing that in real time with tracks and stems. I know recently he showed a snippet of some of the re-recorded S/T tracks and even a preview of Cove. His videos dont stay up so you gotta catch him while he's live. It was cool cause one night I hopped in and said I was learning Bury Your Head from the Sheet Happens tab book and he asked me what tuning it was in the book, then showed me how he plays it in dropped tuning but theres a part in the bridge that shouldnt be dropped or something. I was just happy to get the insight.
How do those re-recordings sound? In my head I can’t imagine better vocally given the dynamic of the originals but I have to ask.
