https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cthci4IAo2Q/ Looks like Cove is performing some old songs with them for their upcoming show, pretty cool. Wonder if it’ll be more than Voices and You’re Not Alone..
Pretty cool, but makes me less interested in actually going hahaha. Anyway, very curious to see the setlist after it's all said and done
It says they’re playing a 28-song set so, yeah, I imagine Cove is going more than just Voices and You’re Not Alone
Seems that way. Maybe a few other surprises too. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a dual vocal with the two.
You can live stream the show on the venue's Instagram right now https://instagram.com/gardenampoc?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
If this setlist is correct, there's 6 self titled songs and a bunch of covers at the end Saosin Setlist at Garden Amphitheatre, Garden Grove
so the “playing songs from all albums” was correct after all? i thought they said it was a mistake. is this some reaction to that? im really confused lol.
I think the issue was that the tour they were doing was described as “all the hits, all the albums” when I’m not sure the CA shows yesterday and tonight were part of that tour. These shows are about a month since their last show so they were likely always planned to be special, unique shows with Cove himself rather than playing the Cove songs on tour with Anthony singing them
I was there and here’s an actual setlist (swipe to second photo) Lucky Denver Mint was not played as that was an either/or crowd choice. I don’t think Further Seems Forever was played either Regarding the covers, they really disrupted the flow of the show and didn’t have much traction with the crowd. The band wanted to do songs that made the band what it was. Cove was on stage through You’re Not Alone. It was really cool seeing him up there and hearing those songs again. Chris led everything else up until Bjork, which is when Anthony came on. The crowd responded most to the translating songs, but also when they were at their worst; the had to stop three times over dumb drunk shit. Entertaining show to say the least, but pretty clear for the band to have any traction today and going forward, it’s with Anthony up on stage.
Wowwww I love the little tiny Anthony cover of Unravel I've had in my itunes forever, that would be amazing to see
The SDRE cover rocked. I’d really like to see an all along the shadow show. Especially secret meaning of freedom and the the two deluxe tracks.
I think it has less to do with Anthony and more to do with the rest of the band. Even back in 2009, this band wasn’t playing more than, like, 15 or 16 songs
