Idk if there is an official Saosin thread so I’m saying it here. I think They Perched On Their Stilts might be one of the best songs ever. It’s pretty damn heavy too for a not really metal band.
If they actually follow through with the TTN re-release I would be so stoked. The chorus of I Can Tell slaps HARD
I was confused because you said something about I Can Tell which wasn't on the record, I thought I had forgotten the names of the grey/black EP lol what would they do with a TTN re-release? just a reprint? I still have my original ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I too have my original CD, one of my favorite EPs. On the previous page there's a quote from a Q&A Beau did about re-releasing TTN on vinyl with some additional songs (like a re-recorded I Can Tell and Mookie's Last Christmas)
Vinyl, because TTN was never properly put on vinyl. There was some bootlegs a few years ago of like custom-printed from a 3rd party.
I know Beau has said he has been writing riffs. Im betting we'll get a new Circa album before Sao at this point.
I always get the feeling any further album will drop out of pretty much nowhere. Hopeful of that, anyway.
I think Anthony has said on Twitter the new Circa album is already done. I think he mentioned a roundabout release date of late this/early next year but can't really remember...
Here's another one where he just says next year... so yeah, probably will be out before a new sao album.
I remember seeing the them at The Quest in Minneapolis and had no idea Anthony had quit. I was pissed to get Cove, lol.
I'm listening to In Search Of Solid Ground for the first time in... I don't know how many years, but it sounds better than I remember so far. Deep Down and The Alarming Sound Of A Still Small Voice are bangers, the latter kind of sounding like a prelude to Along The Shadow's slower songs. I tacked the bsides and the demos (I wasn't aware of!) on at the end so I'm excited to (re)discover those as well.
