Me too. Just saying they would feel less out of place on the standard edition than like, The Secret Meaning of Freedom or something.
Yeah, that one grew on me a lot after the first couple listens. That "the day is there to show..." bridge is probably the closest moment on the record to recapturing the feeling of TTN.
I wish more songs sounded like it on the record, but I'm glad the whole thing was their most diverse yet. It shows how they matured as songwriters in the past 14 years.... shiiiit how is TTN 14 years old ? It could be released tomorrow, and people would still eat it up and think it sounds fresh.
I just realized yesterday that Cove has been out of the band longer than he was in the band, which is maybe the oldest I've ever felt
Still not as much of an injustice as "Let Go Control" not making the Self-Titled imo. I do agree though.
Meant to add, I really hope they continue Saosin going forward. I like CS and know Anthony has a ton of projects, but I need Saosin to remain an active band. That is all.
I think they will, I think Anthony will alternate between bands, this is a circa year next year is a saosin. I think they will out out a record every 3-4 years
Would love to hear him add vocals to those 3-4 instrumentals they released after Cove left the band. Those were pretty damn good.
When I talked to Beau I think he said there was only one more song they recorded with AG and it wasnt completely done. That's been a year or so ago, so maybe they got some more in the vault
I'd love to hear some of the newer tunes that Chris described as post-rock, I think it could turn out really well.
Link? Interesting idea, but I think that would really dive into Circa sounding music. Don't know if that would really work.
not necessarily, there is a post rock sort of Post Hardcore that they could do that is different than what Circa does.. I think that Along the Shadow is exactly the direction they needed to go in though so that the project didn't sound too much like Circa. The comparison will always be there though... bc you know they have the same singer ha.
Good call. I just hope they keep the screams and heavier parts vocally, which I'm sure they will. I love old PBTT and Waves.
maybe something in the direction of define the great line with less screaming obviously and a more melodic approach...
They played a newer song back when they got Anthony back in the band, I guess this is the last song we still haven't heard a studio version of.
