I like it a lot but it never really crosses my mind to play it. Need to get it back in regular rotation again.
Yea some things grabbed me on my listen today. The song structures are actually pretty cool and while it doesn't sound like the ep it captures that time period really well
The middle of the record drags a bit and I think the deluxe songs should have been standard. Still probably my favorite Saosin release
Honestly, while Along the Shadow is #7 for my end of year, Pixie Queen is #2. Pixie Queen is second only to Blue Sky Noise for Anthony Green releases in my eyes.
Cool that he continues to be prolific, but Avalon/High and Driving will always be my go to. Those songs still hold up
I enjoy this, and it grew on me slowly after release, but it still falls more toward the upper echelon of token reunion records - as opposed to an album fans would've been ecstatic to hear in 2004 without the novelty factor. More likely, it would've been viewed as a mild letdown on the heels of TTN. Also, I think the production holds it back slightly from its full potential.
Drinking from the Fountain, Silver String, Count Back from Ten are in my Top 10 Saosin songs ever. With the first being one of my favorite AG vocal performances ever
also pixie queen parallels the shit that happened in my own life this year a little too closely/literally and i cant listen to it without crying
This is my favorite Saosin album. I think it holds up incredibly well not just as a reunion album, but as the next step in Saosin's discog.
It's probably my favourite release of Anthony's since OLG and I'm really glad I like it but I still don't like it as much as the selftitled and no where near TTN.
This is still the only Saosin album I like. I tried every other release over the past few months but nothing else really appealed to me.
Haven't listened to this since maybe June, I should probably return to it sometime soon. I liked it a lot for a while there.
Was just listening to this today and thinking about how absurd it was that Drinking From The Fountain and Along The Shadow Of Man didn't make the album
