You legit can't hear the lead guitar over the drums if you are at greater than 50% volume. lol

 

Through secret meaning and I really like it! I like how diverse it sounds on first listen, a lot of different ideas here

Do you have some weird EQ settings or are you using Beats? Cause I can absolutely hear the guitar. My guess is a weird bass thing.

 

Really enjoying this! Anthony just bring another level back to Saosin. Can't wait to see them next month

 

Anyone else getting Further Seems Forever vibes from "The Stutter Says A Lot"?

Also, I'm convinced that the last minute of "Illusion & Control" is one of the most impressive things the band has done. Loving this album so far.

 

Still can't get over how much "Second Guesses" sounds like "Anthology" when it starts, throws me off every single time haha

 

Speaking of Beats, I got a free pair of them when I got a Macbook Pro last year. I have a pair of ATH-M50s for listening and a pair of $30 Radioshack headphones from drumming so I'd never use Beats until one day I forgot my drum headphones at home so I was playing along to music through Beats. I was playing along to Circa Survive and literally one of the guitars was just practically gone. I was so dumbfounded.

So, yeah, Beats are awful.

 

Nah I have Bose QC in ears. It is all good in the verses, then the choruses get real muddy. Might also be mobile stream related.

With that all said. I fucking loved it. Ha

 

About halfway through my first listen. Count Back From Ten is probably my favorite so far. Ideology Is Theft is pretty great, too.

 

Nevermind, it's Sore Distress now. That is a well-written song if I've ever heard one.


EDIT: Holy shit the last two songs. They really saved the best for last, didn't they? Wow

I'm surprised they didn't release Second Guesses for radio. I think it is the only song on hear that reminds me of the ST w/ Cove

 

Going back for seconds, this album definitely delivered. Anthony Green remains one of my favorite vocalists of all time.

 

Oh those verses in Second Guesses are just fantastic

 

Secret Meaning of Freedom and Old Friends back to back is such a weird combo. OF sounds like it could have been on Descensus and SMoF is just out of left field with the 2003 punk drums

Edit - Ideology = WOW! Also, the instrumentals make me miss SKSK.

 

I'm out of town so won't be hearing it. But I'm not sure how you got the impression I'm a that huge Saosin fan!

 

The working title of that song was literally "Further Seems Forever" haha
