I only prefer the Circa Survive albums with Cove. Real fans would agree.

 

Thinking about it, I guess you're even right The Amulet wasn't breaking too much of a new ground for them, but still, it felt much needed; some beatufil lyrics, too, and Anthony started using different singing techniques, so the album is still pretty distinct, even if they reached back to their older catalogue guitar-wise at times (it's interesting to me Ken Vasoli has got writing credits on Lustration for guitar iirc). And I'll stop here, seeing now that I'm not even in the Circa thread haha

 

the amulet is also my least favorite circa, mostly because i think its kinda stuck in one gear the whole time and overuses similar textures and melodies

the two deluxe tracks and metanoia are some gooood shit though

not sure off the top of my head my pick for circa's worst song. circa were too good to make bad songs, their worst material is mostly just average

 

IDK man...Circa is my favorite band of all time but Phantasmagoria sucks real bad. Imaginary Enemy sucks. Spirit of the Stairwell sucks. Think of me when they sound and Who will lie with me now baffle me. We're all thieves, Mandala, and Carry us away are very mid.

Finding home and Follow and feel suck.

Finding Home can lean a little corny for me admittedly but yea Follow and Feel is like clearly a highlight on there lmao

btw the only bad Circa song is Bad Heart, everything else is good
