Beau produced this bands new record. RIYL Explosions in the Sky mixed with some post hardcore. Members of Mikoto and A Fall Farewell
I'm a Cove > Anthony guy but truly don't think it could go any wrong way. Would love a song with both of them on it.
Yes but where is the re-recorded self title? Did they shelve it since the original was released on vinyl last year?
I'm mega confused on all that. Beau streamed so many hours re recording parts, but it seems shelved now. I wonder if Capitol got wind of it and preempted it with their repress. Sucks cause I was looking forward to actually hearing the guitar parts on the new version.
At Warped DC they announced they were going into studio this summer to record a new album. Was never not happening. However, the past timelines of this band definitely bring a cautionary tale to expecting new material so I understand the hesitation.
it is kinda insane how much I've listened to this band when they have 2.5 EPs, and 3 albums in 22 years, 1 EP and 2 albums that I enjoy, and the last 1 being from 2016 with their lead singer from 2002/4.
Going to guess the re-recording is done and that's why they're now focusing on the new album. Probably just waiting for 2026 to put out the former so it coincides with the 20th anniversary?
I remember being obsessed with finding their demos back in high school. I literally was downloading any and all Saosin content on Limewire. Probably have them all on my old iPod. Even the Show Me Your BHole song hahaha.
I think I've heard just about all I want to hear from this band with Anthony. Them with Cove seems much more intriguing to me.
First time in a very long time I see anyone other than Beau record guitar, sounds like a I Never Wanted To/Second Guesses type of mellower song too.
Where at Edit: nvm found the screenshot on saosin Reddit I wonder if Cove and Anthony will be on the same tracks or if they’ll have their own for themselves
