Was definitely laughing at certain points because of how good they sounded. It was second time seeing them live and had heard the horror stories about Cove holding it live and it was just so so good.
These songs sound incredible. I'm a casual Saosin fan so I wouldn't really know...have they "upgraded" the songs over the years? I feel like they've added a ton of guitar licks and parts. Very interested to hear new material from them with Phil included.
The fact that the S/T will be 20 years old next year is insane. 20 years later and I still can't think of an album that has topped it in terms of guitar riffs. Just crazy musicianship on that album
the saosin self titled is so good at what it does. it almost feels like the scene equivalent to the boston debut as far as every song being an earworm goes
interested to see what Cove does on LP4. Would love a record that gets me excited to see this incarnation live I've heard the EP + beetle live maybe 15 times. time for something new
im starting to get over my bummage that lp 4 isnt gonna be another antonio verde lp (in part because we have new a fucking sound of animals fighting album holy shit) and am getting pretty curious what an album with cove is gonna sound like. im not a terribly big fan of his other band, dead american, but thats mostly because i dont think the instrumentalists are pulling their weight which is undoubtably not gonna be a problem with this band lmao. think this pairing is exactly what cove needs creatively, and probably also what the band need to in order to be more active again since it was so hard for ant to commit to
New studio clips on their insta stories. Sounds really promising. Very VERY excited for a new Cove x Saosin album.
What a great time that was, I bought the Saosin ST and Thursday's A City By The Light Divided at the same time. I listened to Thirsday first and had never heard production anything like that before. When it finished and my 5 disc system started playing 'It's Far Better To Learn' it sounded like the best produced/mixed album of all time. Just an incredibly bright and clean and hard hitting sounding record.
