"Sportstar" is song of the year
Still listen to this quite often, "Powerful Man" is a SOTY contender.
top 3 aoty
(Sandy) Alex G – “Fay”
ummmm what , this is incredible
Really love how the drums come in in this track. And the ending was really cool.
not as good, but he's also on this song that came out today
please pull a Mount Eerie and put out another one by summer
I think it'd be a good move for him now that he is under a slightly more mainstream spotlight!!
Rocket was such a cool record
Beach Music and TRICK are goat for me. Alex is one of those artists that i dont realize how much i love until i look at how much i listen to him. Under rated.
i think this is easily his best record and each record gets better
this is his best album
all his albums are great
forever is my favorite track off his earlier albums
Agreed on Trick being his best (imo). Beach Music grows with esteem for me after initially not liking how fragmented it felt (but liking a lot of the songs anyway)
Cards from that Orchid Tapes comp is my “old” fav
Gnaw is a really really good oldie if you haven't listened to RACE
i'd say that beach music is the first album of his i really truly loved, and this one is a true masterpiece
yeah BM and the new one are peak for me
excited to see where he goes from here
i really want to see him again, he's always been hit or miss live but the headliner last year was an incredible set
also lol this show i was at but left before him because there was a party that night i was going to, and the party got busted 30 mins in. check the end for a semi charmed life cover
some of my pals are on the right. this was the house where most of teen suicide lived lol
Beach Music is where he let himself get indulgent in a more aggressive way than before and that was p cool but definitely took getting used to
the new stuff live is less varied from the recorded stuff. he used to play stuff live so differently than how it is recorded
DSU hella underrated
