I have no ties to San Diego. I think about visiting again all the time, though. Haven't followed through yet.

Man. There was a beer festival today that I missed. Bummer!!! I'm in North Park which is pretty cool. I'm here until Wednesday with no real plans or obligations. What should I do?

Born and raised here as well. Moved to Chicago about a year and a half ago though.

I'm leaving SD today from my holiday vacation and god damn I'm gonna miss this weather.

  15. Lived in San Marcos for a while before moving back to Arizona. Always just tell people I lived in San Diego cause it's like 20 minutes away and no one outside of Southern California knows what San Marcos is haha. I do miss living there at times. Still have friends in that area so I used to head up there multiple times a year, but as I've gotten older the trips have lessened.

Lou’s records in Encinitas where Blink-182 got their start locally. Huge selection too.

Spin Records in Carlsbad is my favorite. I legit find something every time I go.

Cow Records in Ocean Beach is cool too.

there a few others closer to the city but idk if they’re still around. But those three above are probably the biggest I’ve experienced here.

  18. It’s a small shop but I’ve found many gems at Normal Records too. That one’s just a little east of Gaslamp. But yeah seconding Spin too

I lived in Clairemont for 5 years. Moved to Carlsbad two years ago.

While you’re in Little Italy check out James coffee co and, if you’re into whiskey, Aero Club.

So you’ve got Record City up the hill on 6th Ave which is nice. Then you can go to South Park and visit Vinyl Record Junkies. If you’ve got a couple hours I’d go there because they have a back room that’s called the Diggers Den where you can find tons of stuff for $5.

Let me know if you want some food recommendations too.
