The worst movie I watched was best Christmas ever but that was holiday trash. Truly terrible though. Other than that probably no one will save you. Snoooooze.

 

i loved that movie for like 2/3s but the last 1/3 fell so quickly off a cliff that i kinda don't disagree with you

I too disliked Infinity Pool, it wastes a great idea (and a great Mia Goth performance) on a pretty bad movie.

 

65 is lean and fun as hell for what it is, haters be damned

 

I think we massively overuse “this is the worst movie” of the year/decade/ever. It’s fine to just not like a movie and move on.

Yes I want to clarify as I said in an earlier post, I would watch 65 over Saltburn or Leave the World Behind in a heartbeat. It’s fine. I don’t “hate” it.

 

My friend told me yesterday he watched this and liked it a lot, so I came here to see what the people were saying.

Says a lot that the natural endpoint of the conversation was people listing their bottom fives of the year, lol. (I genuinely don’t think I watched any 2023 films that I had a mostly negative response to. My worst would be a couple superhero movies that were the mediocre genre flicks with fun moments that I expected going in.)

Yeah, I actually like when I’m into films people hate or hate films people love. I get why people hate this, but I enjoyed it. I get why people hate Babylon, but I love it. I really hated Skinamarink but it has its base. I love reading (good) Letterbox reviews of people that agree AND disagree with how I felt about a film. Love what you love, no one’s opinion is going to sway mine; it’ll just make me see something differently or that I didn’t think of or just reinforce my thoughts.

 

Yeah if Skinamarink counts as this year then that's the worst.
