My girlfriend loves that movie. She keeps trying to get me to watch it haha.

 

Watch it so you can shit on it with us.

 

This was recomended to me as "dark and fucked up". If thats all you want it delivers wrapped up in a pretty bow. It has novelity and the technical aspects camera/score/editing give it an air of legitimacy.

Sit in darkness long enough, your eyes adjust and the novelity wears off. Darkness can still be effective but it needs to be used in a clever way, to tell a funny joke or to expose a profound truth about the world.

You can just take what you want out of a film but also its worth looking at what it was trying to do. Saltburn's reach exceeded its grasp

 

Honestly thought this was the Movies That Didn't Happen thread with Camp Nowhere being posted haha.

 

Camp Nowhere rules and you should definitely watch that way before this piece of shit.

 

Oh I saw this. I can't say I wasn't entertained, but it is very much trash.

 

@Daniel Just to clarify, my girlfriend wants me to watch Camp Nowhere, not this. I asked her if she wanted to see this in theaters with me. She watched the trailer and immediately said "pass" lmao. She is the smart one in the relationship.

 

Just finished. Boy oh boy this was a chore to get through. I thought the performances were great, but it all just felt so directionless.

Bottoms is great. SMDH.

 

Spo is usually spot-on but that Bottoms opinion is wack. I really thought it was gonna be too quirky for me and it's probably the best studio comedy since Superbad

 

are people genuinely surprised that a bunch of 20 year olds would watch their first movie that's kinda out there and think it's the weirdest movie ever ,something that has never happened before

 

Bottoms is better than Superbad but it still isn't particularly good. The Lynch scenes were funny though.
