Saltburn is a bad movie that I enjoyed watching. Interstellar is an excellently made film that I hated. I can respect something without enjoying it. Not that hard to understand

There are so many technical aspects involved in a film there is no way to objectively weigh thier importance against each other and even if you could there's no way to objectively weigh the technical aspects against the artistic ones.

There are so many frames and lenses to view a film through reviews themselves have all the same issues.

 

I choked at Lady Bird.

I do love I’m Thinking of Ending Things and Sanctuary as well, but those having detractors makes more sense.

 

I don't think saying "it's a well-made but not for me" should be a controversial take on anything lol

 

which is why I can appreciate aspects of a movie like Saltburn while still thinking it was an overall failure. I'm not claiming it's an exact science, but I don't think the only difference between The Godfather and Manos is the individual viewer's opinion.
