Promising Young Woman was mid to me, but this looks great.

PYW was maybe fine, but there were hints of great stuff iirc, things that could prove emerald has a great film in her

 

Hate all the articles about this movie comparing it to a different movie in a way that the trailer doesn't really seem to build to

The Talented Mr. Ripley
But geez probably between this, KOTFM, and Poor Things for my most anticipated of the fall

Still watching this and anything for a Barry performance, though.

 

It seems like everyone either loves or hates it because it's batshit which is the best type of movie even when it doesn't work haha

 

Looks interesting enough. I'll check it out.

Sadly found this to be disappointing

 

I also was not a fan. Seems shocking just for the sake of being shocking and the "surprise" ending didn't surprise me in the slightest. That being said, the performances were all good.

 

The lackluster reaction has definitely moved this down my priority list

 

I loved it but I definitely had to sit with it for a few days to figure out if it fully worked for me.

 

It was the shortest movie I saw today by 30 minutes but it felt the longest.

Barry and Pike were both great. It's worth seeing but I was definitely letdown by it.

 

Is it worse than Promising Young Woman?
