Saint Asonia Band

Saint Asonia is a Canadian-American rock band consisting of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Adam Gontier, lead guitarist Mike Mushok, bassist and backing vocalist Corey Lowery and drummer Sal Giancarelli. The band was formed after Adam Gontier departed from his previous band, Three Days Grace. They are currently recording LP2.

 

This band is actually a really good effort, their self titled debut album is great, front to back and captures what made Three Days Grace popular back in the heyday, and expands on it without the focus on making it on the radio (which Adam cited as his reason for leaving 3DG)

Worth noting Mike Mushok is the lead-guitarist of Staind as well.

 

Love them, absolutely incredible debut. Damn near flawless.

Standouts for me are Waste My Time, Better Place, Let Me Live My Life, Dying Slowly. Although every song is so solid and lyrics and vocal delivery are top notch throughout the whole record.

 

I couldn’t agree more, and those are my stand outs as well though I’d dare to throw FairyTale on there too.

So far it seems like it lol.

 

I also dig this band. Three Days Grace was a huge band for me growing up and Adam recaptured the feel of their old stuff really well on the debut album. I’ll definitely check out a second album from them.

Now that you mention it I think so! I’m a huge fan of adam’s voice, and TDG were one of my favorite radio rock bands. Gotta dig this back up once phoebe bridgers finishes haha

It’s been a bit since I’ve jammed the album tbh, I’ll re-listen soon and get back on that haha. I’ll afmit that when I’m in the mood for Adam I’ll usually throw on old 3DG for nostalgic reasons, but I think I need to give this album more listens again.
