I’m definitely a Sabrina skeptic. “Nonsense” just sounded like a more fun Ariana dupe and anything before that wasn’t for me. These two new songs are pretty undeniable though.
I was sold a while back after watching a live performance of hers. I don't even remember which one but she absolutely had star power for days. Missed her show when she toured emails I can't send tho cause some jabroni called in a bomb threat so she cancelled
I like her and she is definitely having a moment right now like Chappell but to go from playing the House of Blues sized venues (what she played last time in Chicago) to an arena…that’s a huge jump that skips over a few levels of venues. How fast some artists are becoming arena acts these days is crazy.
It's really risky, but it's also a marketing tactic to do so at this point in her career. By booking arenas ahead of her next album, it's signaling to everyone that she IS that big of an artist, and people who may not check out the album might tune in now
open secret at this point that shows are booked based in part on Spotify/TikTok streams which sometimes works sometimes doesn't
I don't think it's really a huge jump for her. She's been performing for years, and her last headliner might have been HOB level, but she's played plenty of festivals and performed for stadiums opening for Taylor Swift. It's not like she's a green performer who has never played for big crowds before. And I think the demand will definitely be there. Getting tix for her at 5,000 capacity rooms would be a bloodbath.
"Please Please Please" is a straight-up country song. I'd be surprised if she didn't do a full country album at some point.
she is much much bigger at this point than Chappel? seems weird to keep comparing other than them just both coming through in this moment
Yeah feels like it’s a much different situation. Sabrina is about to have released 6 albums and is finally hitting success and Chappell has an album that came out 8-9 months ago that is gaining traction. Think the comparison comes from them liking and interacting with each other on top of them both being pop artists, also they’re women lol.
Relatively convinced that 90% of the music industry doesn’t know what Spotify Monthly Listeners actually measures.
I know aesthetics don't rly matter to many but maaaan. I get she's prob sticking to an image for marketing herself but she is giving Ariana Grande Yours Truly original album artwork vibes and it's not my favorite. The industry plant thing makes me laugh like she hasn't been working for the mouse for years and trying to break out
In normal circumstances releasing another single this soon seems like a bad idea….but I don’t think it’s going to matter for her lol
I don't think there's a rulebook for whatever is happening to her career haha, it's a freight train you can't stop and MORE music isn't going to be an issue
