If I was headlining Coachella (give me a couple years) I would hope no one would hold me to the standard of understanding the context of something someone in the massive Coachella crowd was yelling at me

 

Our pop stars simply must acknowledge and validate the culture of each and every audience member one by one before they are allowed to continue their set

 

I think the normal response when it was explained to her would be "oh okay" and then move on. Not "this is weird."

I really don't care either way though.

 

To be fair "this is my culture" is a common ironic twitter-ism, and it was screamed across an audience of 100k people, I think she handled it as well as she could have. I think the 'this is weird" was just Sabrina doing typical performer/audience negging, and not sincere judgment on the audience member she was interacting with.
