Laugh purple boy, laugh

 

My updated thoughts, after half a dozen listens:

1. Definitely better than my (pretty negative) first impression.
2. Improves with a resequencing.
3. "Never Getting Laid" is v funny.
4. There are probably still half a dozen songs on Short n Sweet that clear anything on this album for me.

 

Listened to this 20 times and easily gets better every time

 

Listening to this 20 times sounds like cruel and unusual punishment, which I think is a song she’s saving for the deluxe.

Well I just don’t know what to believe

 

Who knew an album I’d call “charming” and “pretty fine” could somehow be so wildly polarizing.

 

The vinyl only bonus track is really sweet and funny.

 

To be clear, I am just doing a bit at this point.

And I did listen to that bonus track and it is really good.

 

I enjoyed my first listen enough but am liking posts on both sides because y'all are cracking me up

My wife is quite a bit cooler than me and really likes this album. I told her it's a bit divisive and she just said, "Why?" The only song I've heard from it is Manchild, which I think is kind of fucking brilliant.

I'm actually somewhat curious if the Taylor number is going to be dwarfed by TTPD simply because one listen of TTPD tracks 3x more "sales" than TLOAS.

On the other hand, many fans will have it on repeat anyway
