Fun album. Definitely not as strong as Short n' Sweet, but I definitely don't fully understand the claims of it being boring.

    Goddamn, man child Prestigious

I haven't listened yet but it's always kinda funny when we talk about child stars feeling genuine or not. Just because it seems like many of them don't really have a clear identity of who they are when they're not performing. I mean a lot of folks in their 20s are still figuring who they are, plus adding on the piece where child stars have had a public persona forever and dont get to figure their identity out like us cringey normies.

I think it's why we get celebs like Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus where every new album is a "I wasn't being my authentic self until now. That last album wasn't me. THIS is the real me!" thing

I haven't listened to this yet, but based off the comments I wonder if maybe it should've been a Side B type thing like CRJ with Dedicated.

i think its more just men feeling uncomfortable or inadequate hearing a woman sing so freely about how much she likes to get railed.

    Regular

I think this might have worked, but the album does sound quite different from SnS. Interested to hear your thoughts once you’ve listened.

The reception here is quite positive compared to other corners of the internet so far. I think it will end up quite mixed in the end. I do not think any reviews will affect her core fans though, she is too insulated at this point.

I listened to this last night and liked it much more than I thought I would based on this thread. Probably not the mega pop hit on this album like the last one, but more vibes the whole way through

I think she should have saved Busy Woman for this album but there’s still some solid stuff on here.

  25. I think this definitely should have been a b-sides collection, it feels like one. I though Short 'n Sweet was all killer, no filler and this is a lot of on-brand but relatively unexciting stuff. I liked the first two songs a lot, "Never Getting Laid" and "Goodbye" were also excellent, "House Tour" is pretty good, but the rest was very mid.
