In this day and age, this feels like an insanely fast turnaround for a new album, especially in the pop space. Not to shade her writing, but I have to think her team had a lot of things lined up for this to happen. Didn’t she just finish touring a few months ago?

 

It's also all very contextual. For example, Taylor released 2 hours of music across like 20+ songs, but it was 2 years after her last album, so it didn't feel fast. Sabrina released 30 minutes of music last year then a few bonus tracks. Having another half hour ready this year isn't that crazy

 

i'm remembering the days when Rihanna would release a new album every 11 months or so (something that'll never happen again, lol)

 

Portugal the man were on an amazing album per year run for so long, then when they finally stopped, they made worse music. Coincidence?!?!!

 

it's like y'all don't listen to all five KGLW albums each year
