It’s great, of course. “Still” is a big standout. I hadn’t really checked the feature list and didn’t realize Day Wave was on this too, really cool
Come My Way and Solider are both so good too. Love all of the transitions/sequencing throughout too. I think Survivor’s Guilt is the only track I’m straight up not really feeling on this after a few listens
I'm actually into Survivors Guilt a fair bit If I Had A Dollar/Stop That is definitely where this dips a bit for me, but they're still aight. Care For Me had two misses too so they're still neck and neck for me
Didn't realize this had its own thread This is just as good as his last three projects for me (everyone listen to Comfort Zone if you haven't, not on streaming but amazing), Saba has proven to be remarkably consistent while still changing it up with each album. Not sure where I'd rank this yet but I can tell I'll be returning to this for a while
Unreal album. I think after listen 1 my favorites are “Fearmonger”, “Surivivor’s Guilt” and “2012”. I love Chicago!
https://chicagoreader.com/music/saba-interview-few-good-things/ great read. I love listening to this dude talk, he's just fascinating
My first exposure to Saba, and I'm feeling it tremendously. Fearmonger, Still, and Soldier are resonating particularly well after two listens. Easy addition to the AOTY shortlist in the back of my mind.
yeah I finally got around to this a few days ago and it was top to bottom excellent. I really like Care For Me but imo this is a step up for him overall.
seeing him Sunday so running through the catalogue for the first time in a bit Few Good Things remains incredible
I've gotta go back to it, it came out right around a bunch of other dope albums so it fell out of my rotation pretty fast but I remember loving it just like his other stuff
I’ve come around to it being his best. One of my most played records of the year for sure, maybe the most in hip hop specifically. I get that hook in 2012 stuck in my head all the time
last night was fucking amazing. thought the first time I saw him was great but last night? actually knowing the majority of his stuff this time helped, and the crowd BROUGHT IT. Friday night energy at a Sunday night show from everyone, especially Saba. think this locks Few Good Things in as a top 5 AOTY at minimum.
no they meant No ID, they dropped a few singles from a collab but it kept getting delayed and now it seems not to be coming. shame, that battle.rap song was fire
