Yes, if I was judging books by their cover, this one would be a must read! I love the cover so much!

 

I guess not really discovering new bands but having the desire to actually listen to stuff by bands I already like. Stuff I've never heard before. I haven't liked a new artist since I got into Angel Olsen. :( It's just so much easier to weed through music that I just stopped doing it all together. How are you getting out of yours?

I still have a hard time emotionally relating to anything including music, even if I like something there is no real lasting power

I've been trying to listen to at least one new release a week, preferably a band I'm unfamiliar with

 

if you like angel olsen you should listen to waxahatchee, mitski, and Phoebe Bridgers! I think they all are operating in a pretty specific indie rock /indie folk type sound

 

Getting my wallet ready for potential Now, Now preorders to go up today

 

I personally find that emotional connection happens on repeat listens as I get older as opposed to some sort of magic immediacy that came more often when I was 15 or whatever. but I get that
