Yeah. I mention my Get Out dislike only in discussions with friends. It’s not a vehement position I really take.

I quite liked Black Panther, but have a few minor issues with it. But they’re not even worth mentioning in light of everything else going on with the film.

I didn't think Black Panther was literal perfection, but I can easily put that aside for what that means for those who truly need a film like that. And I DID love it, as it was one of the best CBMs in years

I feel like I'm one of the few who really liked the ghostbusters reboot but I was also v stoned and thought it was hilarious so what do I know

Yeah. I had a blast. The women in that film were a breath of fresh air.

Just wish the plot hadn’t been so telegraphed. But, again, that’s really minor when it was still a great time.

When folks talk about how the plot was so telegraphed or obvious I’m like, “uhhh yeah totally, I saw that coming.”

Any issues I had with BP were basically quibbles, especially in comparison to all the other MCU films. Absolutely none of them are perfect, but more than plenty of them are immensely entertaining and maybe even captivating, and I'm definitely happy we have them even it it means suffering through the occasional Thor 2

I enjoyed it, I just don't feel the need to ever see it again. I think if I did I'd just watch the Killmonger scenes. Kinda like how I will only ever watch the Bane scenes from TDKR lol.

I feel exactly the same way. I’d even argue that since Thor 2, they’ve course corrected and have reached a newer level of high consistency.

How do you normally feel about MCU films, or even just superhero movies in general?

I can drink to that. Since Thor 2 there are maybe two movies (Ultron and Ant Man) I didn't really like, and even those had some individual stuff I really enjoyed

I enjoyed Guardians and Black Panther. Thought both Avengers were bad. Most of them I just find to be incredibly boring and formulaic. They often fall into this weird middle ground of being serviceable and that's about it. I've talked about it before, but I hate the way Marvel movies look. They have a terrible color palette imo.

As for how I feel about super hero movies in general? It's hard to say because superhero movies are a genre, and I don't want to disparage a genre as a whole. I've enjoyed some, I've hated others. With that said, I think that they probably are bad for film and independent filmmakers. It's been frustrating at work being forced to push out smaller movies because Disney mandates that we have to have Avengers or Star Wars in 50% of our screens for weeks at a time.
