Oh damn, didn't realize that. That's gotta be hell. At least it's probably good preparation for when Infinity War comes in

Last year had Get Out, Logan, and John Wick 2 in the first two months. At the worst, those are very good. Times a changin

well they've been releasing the Oscar movies in January and just putting them in like one theater in December so they qualify

Don’t think there’s a weekend until late April where I don’t have one or two movies I’m interested in. That makes MoviePass feel even better.

Yeah, but that's not really what I'm talking about. I mean a movie like Get Out which had a full fledged January release in 2017 and is a contender for the 2017 Oscars rather than having a limited release in Dec 2016. If that makes sense

It's ok. I think it's really good but incredibly overrated.

It's not in my top 5 of 2017 that's for sure

Logan was March. John Wick had some incredible shit, but it's not quite on par with the first. I'd still say Atomic Blonde > John Wick 2. Get Out is perfect though

I also really liked Lego Batman, but for whatever reason it never stuck with me like it did others. Oh well

yeah I'm not sure, actually looks like the answer is Silence Of The Lambs

How many times have you watched it? The second time I saw it, I realized that I didn't give it nearly enough credit the first time and I really loved it then too. You catch more things you didn't see initially. You can read up on that if you want

I'm kidding @Garrett L., like I said to James w/ Dunkirk (and I think Baby Driver), don't sweat not liking the widely acclaimed shit everyone else is digging, it happens. Hell, it's happening to me with Game Night!

Once and then I'd pop my head in from time to time at work. But only one full sit down. I'd be willing to watch it again, but I'm not sure picking up on intricacies will change the fact that I found it to be tonally inconsistent and didn't really offer anything new from a storytelling perspective...but I could be wrong

I remember seeing Get Out and being like, well it's February but I've already seen the best movie if the year

The dread I feel watching Ex is nearly unparalleled

I hear this opinion makes me a racist.

Yeah, I’m used to not having popular film opinions. This is probably the one where I’ve just not gotten it the most though. Which makes it weird.

Never saw Dunkirk, war movies rarely excite me

    Dunkirk was excellent.

Logan is still my favorite 2017 release by a wide margin. The emotions I felt watching that film don’t get stirred often in me watching a movie.

I won't take that away from you. In all fairness, I just saw it a couple hours ago, so my opinion on it could cool a bit in the coming days
No more than, say, not enjoying Beyonce's last two albums. That said, once in a while, something like Get Out or Black Panther comes along with a huge cultural import that should make one question themselves, "Is my opinion on this art/entertainment worth shouting down what it represents (or something like that)?"

I'm not saying that should alter your opinion on the film, but you can also quietly not like something. Like if I didn't like the Ghostbusters reboot a year and a half ago (I thought it was fine, enjoyed it enough), I wouldn't have to argue against it. I can see why it's a good thing for certain people
    Couldn't tell ya man
