Care to rank all of your snobberies in order of most snob like to least?

Tea and wine are the next two snob areas I'd really like to break into. Need to learn more about them.

I'm ready to discuss when you are. Especially wine. I need more people to talk wine with.

Haha when I say snob I really am kind of exaggerating. Like, in most areas that I engage in snobbery over, I still enjoy the not as snobbish stuff as well. Like, yeah I love really great local coffee places but I also enjoy a cup of Dunkin or McDonald's coffee as well and see the merit in it. And same with hot sauce, like the craft stuff is best but I'm not going to turn my nose up at sriracha or Crystal or Louisiana. Same with food, like I will crush some fast food but then turn around and rave about the most obscure places imaginable.

I suppose with beer, I almost never drink anything lower quality than, like, Yuengling anymore. I mostly have craft stuff when I'm hanging out with friends. I don't go for the Bud Lights or Miller Lights anymore. So I guess beer would be the most snobbish for me?

I'm not good with subtle nuance with food and stuff so I always assume "snobs" are just making stuff up and seeing if anyone notices

Try cold brewing it! It really cuts down on the acidity and makes the cup wayyyyy smoother.

Yuengling is like water around these parts haha. I think the only forum member closer to their brewery than me is @ChrisCantWrite and he's basically dead. I feel similarly about liking the finer things and yet still respecting the classics that get people into certain things. There's gotta be a balance.

I love wine, but I know literally nothing about it beyond the most well-known wine trivia kind of things. I also know that Malbec is my favorite wine haha

I'm Burgundy pinot noir obsessed lately. I love Malbec too. It's exciting to me to try to find really great wines at a price point one wouldn't expect. Especially international wines priced in the $10-$15 range.

Yeah definitely, I've found that you can get really high-quality stuff, even from outside the US, for under $20 if you do the research.

My favorite wine that's a little more expensive is consistently Au Bon Climat's series of Pinot Noirs. Pick up a bottle of their Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir if you get a chance, it's about $25, but one of my favorite wines ever. Obviously, you could grab a $50 bottle of their wine and it'd be better, but that's the wine that really made me fall in love with Pinot. It might do the same for you.

I'm so fortunate to live so close to the Finger Lakes. We have fantastic wine in New York. Wine tours are some of my favorite memories with family and friends!

I honestly can't think of a major style of wine that I dislike. But I will definitely look out for that one.

One day I will spend a weekend up in that area and we will have to go to a winery together and act out our favorite parts from Sideways and everyone working the winery will be very confused and disturbed.

We have a pretty solid winery near my hometown:

Also, in the summers they host food truck festivals, and they have some of the best damn sangria I've ever had.

Look for it. If you want to recommend a wine for me, I will get it and we can give our thoughts on the wine and then go on. Sort of like an informal wine club. I bet @Larry David would be into it.
