Okay so I've been thinking about this a lot since I read it and this is the high thought that I've come up with (I don't get high so I'm not actually high) and is not really an answer at all but I just wanna talk about it

There was a day 5 years before I was born, I wasn't even in existence, and my wife was born. The person I am going to spend my ENTIRE life with was born on this one day. And then 5 years later she was in kindergarten or pre-K or whatever just playing with toys, drinking juice and taking naps and asking her parents if she could have some ice cream and meanwhile, on the OTHER SIDE OF THE COUNTRY, I was born. And on that day around THREE HUNDRED AND SIXTY THOUSAND babies were born in this country alone and I was one of those and NONE of us had personalities yet and somehow throughout years of life, both me and Laura developed enough personality traits both through genetics and life experiences and sometimes fortunes to where two babies that were born 5 years apart without personalities on opposite sides of the country out of 520,000 babies born on those days alone decided "I want to be with you until I die".

That isn't that crazy BUT IT SHOULD BE. There have been so many years, months, days, hours, minutes since that moment where either of us could have made decisions that drastically altered any semblance of this kind of future and yet it all fell together in a way where I love this person and will love this person for the rest of my life. How goddamn lucky are we as human beings to get to say that?!

I recommend the Costa Rica, Nicaragua (personal favorite), or the Sumatra, but it's all incredible.

What roasts should I be getting? I know little about coffee

 

Depends on how strong you like it and what kind of flavor profiles you're looking for. Also, do you drink coffee black?

 

I dont even know what I want in coffee. Just to taste good lmao. I dont know styles yet.

At work I drink our generic packs black. Its not too good. But its not because its black.

 

Well I'm sure Ken can offer you a better recommendation from that place, since he suggested it, but just from perusing the offerings what's immediately jumping out at me is the "Press Early Edition Blend" and the "Brazil Mogiano."

If you hit up the place I linked above, Rook Coffee , I'd suggest going for a medium roast to start and then venturing out into the darker, stronger stuff after.

 

Start with their four corners which is pretty well rounded. If you find yourself saying, "oh I wish this coffee was bolder or it's too strong," then go from there.

 

Becoming a coffee snob was one of the best lifestyle decisions I've made in my life, have to say. Up there with being a hot sauce and beer snob.

 

I drink tea half the time, so @Anthony_ is gonna be better at answering coffee questions than I am. I just know that whenever I'm in the Phoenix area, press coffee is what I try to drink the whole time I'm out there. Their cold brew is essentially crack.
