Okra is great when done well. Kind of a staple

I know this may be a foreign concept to some of you contrarians around here but it's true

trust me, I would eat every vegetable if I liked them all but that's not how life works

Since it was mentioned, how do you all like your corn bread? Do you like it that dry, flaky, bland way, or the moist, almost cake like way? I'm not biased you are

i had a pizza that had smoked quail and chimichurri sauce a couple weeks ago and it was fuego

I had no idea the dry variety was a thing til I lived in the South for years but I guess it compliments southern cuisine or something

 

Dry cornbread is the worst. Unless you're dipping it in the runoff juices from black eyed peas or something

 

I've never personally done this for the record

 

That sounds kind of gross too haha but that's kind of what I assumed it was for. Dipping in like grease or butter or egg yolk or whatever have you
