I quit Zoloft cold turkey and I was lucky that I didn't have any side effects. I was very happy with what it did for me at the time but I'm very glad to not be on it anymore

I don't have health insurance at the moment, and my OBGYN will not fill it back up for me. I imagine this is the reason many mentally ill people die because they can't get the meds they need when they really need them. Its sad and it sucks and its painful as hell. But now that the brain zaps have stopped, I feel much better.

 

I weened off mine slowly and still ended up in the hospital so idk how you guys went cold turkey!

I just had the head zaps and thank god that's over.

I never wanted to be on it in the first place. but a month after I lost my unborn baby, I was a mess and caved in and let the doctor put me on it. So I am happy I am not on it anymore. Plus I've lost a shit ton of weight so that's always a bonus!

 

The OB wasn't the one giving it to me the last 2 years. the bitch I went to see for the meds decided to just drop me for no reason. Not even a phone call. I legit freaked the fuck out.

 

I don't think there is any shame in that at all. whatever you need for your mental health: I say go for it. I really hope everything works out

 

I tried last year to ween off them but then at 25mg had a fucking melt down...this was also around the time my grandfather died so that didn't help.
