Last night I had a guest chew me out about something and then she was like, “this is honestly....disturbing. I’m sorry but I have to update my Yelp review because of this.” Lol. She mentioned Yelp like 4 times as if I care

 

Chase and I saw it just now and as soon as the movie was over I go “I just really want to listen to Sufjan now” and I am listening to him now lol

Gotcha. Have yet to have someone try me with a threat of a Yelp review but for the most part we don't have a ton of Yelp reviews and they're mostly meh anyway. Buy your booze and gtfo would be the name of my liquor store.

 

my close buddy lives for yelp. if i am ever out to eat with him and he seemingly has a bad experience i expect him to write a lengthy yelp review on the spot.

I think it can be really useful when it comes to mom & pop shops, but when we are talking about chain places with heavy foot traffic, it’s basically useless. What’s funny is that she was like, “I come here all the time and I’ve never seen it like this.” And I couldn’t help but think, ok, so you come here all the time and have never had a bad experience until now and because of this one time you want to write a lengthy yelp review and say is as a threat? Very bizarre behavior imo

 

what was wrong? the movie? the food? the upkeep of the theater? I'm very confused

 

yeah i definitely use it if im traveling somewhere and looking for a place to eat as people will leave fairly genuine reviews. but using it as a threatening mechanism to workers of the place/establishment is silly.

 

Upkeep. It sucks cause I was managing the concessions stand last night and whoever was managing the floor dropped the ball and because I happened to be out on the floor cleaning something up, I got the heat haha

Edit: to be fair, I think her complaint is 100% valid. But the word “disturbing” is ridiculous and then Yelp just took it to another level
