My mortgage in my house is only about $1100 which IS pretty reasonable for most things I've seen around here it seems

 

I was an only child until I was 13 but now I have an 8 and 1 year old sister. It’s super weird being 20 years older than one of my sisters

 

I only have two siblings and I'm having a mental breakdown so i don't think the number of people in a family correlates to crazy

 

i wish my rent was 1100 damn

 

Similar for me.

I have two 1/2 siblings 6 years and 10 years younger with different parents. So it's like I was an only child until I was 10 which is weird to explain to people

 

My rent is $400

 

Luckily with my situation I have a mortgage payment which is $500 (for one bedroom one bath condo) but in my city one bedrooms don’t go for less than ~$700 renting.

 

I pay $590 and the apartment wasn't ready on the date they told me it would be ready, I've had ants and a mouse since I've moved in and it's 'garden level' so everyone looks into my apartment as they come to the front door of the complex but other than that it's ideal

 

also the rent goes up $10 for every year you stay here for some reason

 

for $500 in New York you get to sleep on the floor of someone's bathroom

Get a roommate and live in the shitty part of town right next to an airport.

the rent is now over $1100 a month

 

A shitty motel-style apartment in the worst part of my city is over $1000 a month

 

i have roommates but the situation is this: it's technically not legal in this shitty podunk town to live in/rent a house with more than 2 people who don't share a last name/aren't related, so im in apartments bc i don't wanna deal with the hassle or threat of eviction if some asshole called the cops for literally no reason (or weed idk). this law also makes it so that the most convenient apartment complexes (school affiliated, ie have a shuttle that goes to the university) can effectively ratchet up the price bc it's the most convenient and people will still wanna live where it's convenient. and since there's been an influx of people going to the university, they also ratchet up the price so that people who don't need to be here just leave and open up spaces. it is dystopian and fucked

 

Live in the Capital of Michigan which is about 10 years behind the rest of the state.

my rent is $1350+ for a 1brm/1bath. I can't complain too much i guess. i live in a safe neighborhood close to work and my apartment is decent. in kc it was $695 for the same sqft with dingy appliances and carpeting. I'm fortunate i can have my own apartment and not have to have roommates

 

I just moved and in renting a room for $430 plus utilities which is quite literally unheard of in California and why I decided to move again. But I could never afford to live in my own apartment. Need to live in a place with roommates

 

I could totally afford to live somewhere nicer, but I'm really only at my apartment to sleep and shower. So why bother paying more money for something I ain't gonna utilize.
