out of these I've heard Tame Impala (wasnt into it but should give it another chance), Grizzly Bear (just Painted Ruins, liked it alright but idk if I'd go back much), US Girls (wasn't that into it but again maybe need to spend more time), & Beach House (I like them).

I've also heard Ariel Pink, Toro Y Moi, &Yo La Tango here and there but not enough to form an opinion

I've heard they're bad live. Getting more into them now

 

they were great live when i saw them, however as they accumulate both members and more varied song structures/instrumentation, the energy kind of takes a backseat to just nailing the song. they do sound very tight tho

Their first four albums are their best and Lonesome Crowded West and Moon & Antarctica in particular are the highlights and arguably essential listening for indie music

pls listen to Pavement if you haven't. the first two are like probably the ones with consensus best status but Wowee Zowee is real special and is just as good and there isn't actually a bad album in the bunch.

these are all hella obvious but between 1980 and 2013 means these all fall in there so i gotta cover those bases you feel?
