because it totally didn’t set me up for any level of success in the modern world nor did it instill any level of writing competence and confidence that allows me to stand out and chase me dream of being a writer. I understand grammar and story construction but it doesn’t mean I’m writing a good story, just a well-constructed one.

I’m really tired of being broke and four years of college didn’t really do jack shit

 

Sigh. I have a strong feeling this will be me in a couple years

 

If you want to teach like you said earlier, you’ll be fine. I’ve turned down six or seven teaching offers just from people finding out I have an English degree. There’s a definite lack of teachers in our field right now.

 

I think I do. I’ve always said I want to teach, but this last year or so I’ve started to question that. We’ll see I guess

Have you done your in class semester yet?

 

I volunteered to work a remodel the next two days down in Chattanooga as “training” for when our store does our remodel in July-Sept. We did our Mother’s Day product launch set last night and I feel like I got hit by a truck. Two more shifts of physical labor sounds not fun now.

I also think the support in my gym shoes gave out last night. My feet hurt something fierce.

Kinda nice I’m getting so many guaranteed hours this week, though.

 

Damn I fell asleep last night during Westworld.

I’m about to watch the Westworld premiere I hope it’s just all thandie newton being a badass for ten episodes.

 

i didn't hate westworld but i still didn't think the first season was particularly great. thandie newton and piano versions of radiohead tracks kept me going. i did like the second season premiere though, so it's off to a better start so far.

 

HBO’s F451 looks so damn great.

 

I accidentally drank 6 Sierra Nevada Sidecars last night while waiting for dinner to be ready...dinner took way longer than expected Gave me a terrible headache this morning but it's finally fading.
