It's funny how Apple is slowly killing itself these past few years. It was such a strong company a couple years ago. It seems directionless and clueless now.

It's trending towards losing market share in China. Upcoming earnings report is going to be questionable. Their future prospects for growth are not good at all. It seems to me there could be a negative trend in competitive advantage over next 5-10 years, unless they can introduce new products. New phone reiterations are not enough. I'm seeing rumors that they might cancel the iPhone X as well.

Also, the iphone SE 2 rumor of the abandoned headphone jack has me thinking I'll buy a 6S or switch back to android. I'm sure others will follow. Fuck the dongle.

Uh, not if you buy an iphone 6S or SE which they are still producing.

 

I hope phone competition ramps up and more viable competitiors release products to the market. Im tired of phones being $1000.

It's bullshit. The market doesn't like it. Apple really fucked themselves on the iPhone X.

Exactly! I'm not buying new premium headphones and having to worry about carrying around a dongle in a separate case/pouch. It's utterly obnoxious!

 

I haven't looked at them in forever, but that's not surprising. I think we'll see a correction. I've been buying phones that are a generation or two behind because buying the newest, latest thing is a complete ripoff.

All Ive ever seen is the monthly financing, but you pay for the whole phone with that. All $900 or whatever it is.

Also the phones come with the little 1/8 inch to Apple whatever adaptor so its not a big deal at that point imo.

 

I think my terms were somewhere around $20 /month for 2 years for the Galaxy S8. Which is about half price on promotion. Then when the lease period is over I think there's a $120 fee to pay it off or something
