Like the best comparison I can make is Cam Newton. He gets called "arrogant" and "whiny" in ways that ... let's say, a white person would be called "confident" and "passionate".

But both Cam and Kanye are problematic in their views of women and that's something important to consider and address.

But it seems like the criticism they get is never actually about that.
