Always told myself I’d listen to this guy. I remember enjoying him but it never stuck. Just saw this thread this morning and decide to give this a spin. Again the first few songs didn’t really connect but the run from Emery to More I See is fantastic. That will for sure get me to return.

 

Please listen to "All We Grow". I still don't think he has topped it.

And I agree about the back half being better

 

I think I’m going give this new one another spin and then return to the later stuff!

 

"More I See" is probably my favorite song to come out this year.

Gotta say I am disappointed "Brassy Sun" wasn't on this album. Maybe it couldn't be since it was written for the Flaked soundtrack.

That is some kind of song.

 

Can't get enough of Rose Petals lately.. I need to watch Flaked.

 

Definitely moving on this. The Tom Waits cover is on streaming services now and it's great.

Haha no way! I randomly spun this out of the blue 3 times yesterday. Have the signed 10 year version. It really is pretty perfect. Low key one of my favorites of last decade.



His cover of "Take It With Me" is legitimately one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.
