after being laid off yesterday, i was really hoping to have the album tomorrow so that i could at least drink & enjoy some new RA tunes.
He probably recorded 3 and is deciding which one to release. I mean, he's famous for recording albums and throwing them away. He just announced it too soon. Or changed his mind.
Which wouldnt be the first time that he has gone to the press with an album title, date, and then change his mind.
There's an unreleased song on Live at Carnegie Hall that he plays called "How Much Light" and he mentions how it's from an album that he recorded and threw away because it was quite depressing. Would love to hear that record because that's a great song. Edit: Nevermind, found it. Anyone know what was included on this thing outside of the three singles?
The album he recorded with Glyn Johns & scrapped for being too depressing (it was about his grandmother dying) and for being "slow adult shit" was to be the followup to Ashes & Fire He opted to put these couple of songs out during his run of 7" last year. He did a really nice writeup about them here
Thanks for this! Appreciate it! Edit: I had no idea he had write-ups for the singles series. Looks like I've got some time to kill!
New single "Do You Still Love Me?" coming December 7th Rumor was that the album is scheduled for release on 2/3, so the single release seems to suggest that's the case. Pumped.
