I can't lie, when he first announced that he was releasing three albums this year, my first thought was "I'll believe it when all three come out." Not that there's no way he would ever do that, it's just that he definitely likes to tease things that don't always come to pass. Having two album names & cover art certainly make (at least 2/3's of) this seem much more legit. Fingers crossed... I am definitely intrigued as to what these sound like.
I mean there’s no doubt the dude has the music. He is recording constantly, and is sitting on so much unreleased stuff. Im sure he could release 3 albums a year, every year.
As a huge fan of Ashes & Fire, I would LOVE to hear the Ashes & Fire Part 2 album that he's made reference to recording and scrapping for being too boring.
I'd love to hear something that sounds like Gold or Cold Roses personally. Doubt I ever get that, unfortunately. Still, YAY to 3 new albums !!
I'm getting really excited. Looks like he isn't just teasing! Hope one albums is acoustic/piano focussed, one a rock focussed and the third testing out new sounds. That twitter clip he posted yesterday sounded like it might be quite different for him.
Are you referring to the clip of him and the three guys singing into the mics in the studio, or did he post another clip...?
Okay, thanks. I thought I missed a legit song clip or something like that. I am very excited about hearing what type of song they were doing the vocals for in that clip.
I mean Capitol retweeted all of his tweetstorm about 3 albums etc so I'd say there's a good chance it's going to happen
From the Washington Post We've got the track list for Adams's album “BIG COLORS,” produced by Beatriz Artola, Ryan Adams, and Don Was, set to be released April 19, 2019: 1. Big Colors 2. Middle of the Line 13. I'm Sorry and I Love You 14. Manchester 15. Summer Rain From Don Was, another Power Up friend:“I wish everyone could witness the awe-inspiring sight of Ryan Adams recording in the studio . . . the endless flow of brilliant ideas is mind blowing and he's clearly tapped into the deepest reaches of the Creative Ether. His forthcoming album(s) elevate his art form to a whole new stratosphere and it's an honor and a thrill for all of us at Blue Note Records to work with him. Oh yeah . . . one other thing: he's the most underrated guitarist in rock n roll.”
I assumed if we were getting three albums this year they would be around 10 tracks each. Looks like we're getting 40-some tracks this year, that's insane!
