Ryan Adams (born David Ryan Adams; November 5, 1974) is an American singer-songwriter, musician, producer, poet and painter. He is best known for his prolific solo career, and as a former member of alternative country band Whiskeytown.
Really hoping we get some new stuff for him. I know on either Twitter or Instagram he said he had been writing a lot about turning 40, so I'm sure there's a ton of material
He said he's working on a double album & said on social media that he had like 79 songs for it. Hopefully we get a double album and another round of 7" for his Singles Series
I only recently got turned onto him by way of Spotify putting his Carnegie Hall double album in my Discover sometime last summer. Now I love the dude.
Still hoping that 48 Hours gets a proper release one of these days. Probably won't happen but a guy can dream.
Haha, oh I know. But I'm choosing to remain cautiously optimistic. Granted, I'd like to see a lot of his unreleased material get a proper release but if I had to pick just one, it'd have to be 48 Hours.
Yeah, just having "Walls" on vinyl would be worth it, and then you still have every other amazing song on that record to look forward to as well.
And "Like the Twilight" too. That's a great one. I'll always wish they hadn't carved those albums up to make Demolition. I like Demolition just fine, but I think all of the albums they pulled stuff from to make it (with the possible exception of the Pinkheart Sessions) would have been stronger as their own releases.
Unreleased album. Was supposed to be a part of a boxset called 20/20 along with a few other albums. Never officially released, but bootleg versions are out there. Including on Youtube:
Ryan needs to stop teasing "huge news!!!" on Instagram and then having it just be another random festival haha. I mean that's all well and good but when you got a potential double album in the works...getting my hopes up!
I mean, he is perpetually excited about everything ever haha, so I guess it's understandable. But still!

Fuuuuuck yes. Love that version of Dreaming's Free/I'm Alright Today too. Nice to hear it in a more fleshed out recording.
