The Weakness, Hellfire, St. Jupiter, Breakdown, and Holy Shit are all quite good tho

 

I think Dying Star is an all time favorite album for me. This one was mostly forgettable unfortunately. Would love a Dirt Emo 2 next

 

probably my biggest disappointment unfortunately, after how incredible S&D was

 

I actually think I prefer this over shape and destroy, which is the one I would point to ask the uneven one

 

The ballads on this one are the weaker points for me. Whereas songs like "Just for the Record," "Anchors," and "Dying Star" were my favorites from Dying Star.

 

"Dive" and "Better Now" were the weak points on this one for me. Overall really like it still.

 

This one's a weird one for me. I like it a lot when I'm listening to it but it doesn't really stick with me beyond that, and I go months without listening to it. That said, I'm listening again now and the 1-2 punch of Breakdown-Holy Shit is as good as anything released this year.

 

It’s probably more consistent than S&D but the highs on S&D still make it my #1.

 

Y’all making me sad with these posts. Bring back the love of release week.

 

This was the album to get me into him so it was all worth it

 

Still a record I really like, to be clear. Just not quite on the level of the first two, for me.

 

Also will say when I went back and listened to his discography, Dying Star is absolutely the one and one of my most listened to albums this year

 

I think he killed it on what he was going for with DS & SAD, but I also think he killed it with The Weakness, moving into that alternative space.

 

When I saw him he played almost everything on here and that helped

 

This is a very good album, knock it off lol

 

Same. I think Dying Star is the best by far, but I like this one a lot more than S&D.

It’s so good, definitely sounds like early Rusty. If he dropped it in September it’d be my number one played song of the year.
