I actually really like the admittedly only one album of his that I've listened to, but if someone just asked me out of the blue who was a bigger draw, Noah Kahan or Ruston Kelly, I would have bet Ruston Kelly was a bigger draw no question. Also I am old and extremely out of touch with how things work these days.
Noah Kahen is having a moment through TT recently. Ruston doesn’t have much of a current presence and is due for a resurgence within the next few years. Billing is correct, however much I would’ve wished it was the other way around lol
Album is fantastic, love it so much already. Breakdown is IT, incredible song. makes me want a Ruston/Parannoul tour
The whole album is excellent, but this is one of those rare ones where the mid-section takes it into the stratosphere. The run from Mending Song to Holy Shit is insane.
I can't make it to the upcoming tour, but god damn do I want to yell "It's been a long fucking winter, it's been a strange year" with a crowd.
The Northside vinyl is somehow even cooler in person. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite like it before.
This album is incredible. The organ in cold black mile is sublime. Holy shit is a standout. I loved the live version of Hellfire so much that the production on it is taking a bit to get use to but it's still incredible. When the guitar kicks in,,,,,whew. Oh well. And dive, the ending. That's something you can just get lost in.
It's because lots of white girls from some of the richest and most affluent suburbs in the world in Massachusetts make tik toks singing along to "I'm mean because I grew up in New England" from his track Homesick thinking they're the same as the sticks of Northern Vermont.
Man, 15-20 yrs ago “Breakdown” would’ve been all over the radio and required by law to be played twice an hour in every american eagle outlet
