This is going to be really great on vinyl too. First half and back half have perfect arcs.

Ruston meets Goo Goo Dolls meets all the uncool mid-2000s singer-songwriter records I adore.

 

Don't like "Dive" but everything else is great

 

This whole thing is great, but the run from Dive through Better Now is incredible

 

I’m currently on my honeymoon and my wife and I are both so excited to listen to this tonight! We had the 1975s album come out the weekend of our wedding, and this is the album that’s going to earmark our honeymoon (hopefully lol)

His album release for Dying Star at Grimey’s remains an all time favorite experience for me. Hope you enjoy!

I actually checked haha and I was reasonably non deranged. My favorite band (my morning jacket) happened to announce a new record on like day 6 of the honeymoon but apart from a few posts in that thread and maybe one baseball post I refrained

I've only listened to the album twice so far, but this album is absolutely fucking incredible.

Dying Star for me is an absolute masterpiece and one of the greatest albums to come out in recent years. Shape & Destroy was underwhelming and kinda lackluster, but I honestly think it's just because Dying Star hit me so hard and still does to this day. S&D is a solid album full of good songs and only has one song that I don't really care for.

this is my first Ruston Kelly album and i'm blown away with his energy, songwriting, and voice. should've listened to him years ago.
