I listened to Dying Star and Dirt Emo each when they came out, but they didn’t stick stick with me. These first three songs from Shape and Destroy though have been on repeat.

 

Why does he say "crows" like that. What's even funnier to me is that if he pronounced it right, it'd be a closer slant rhyme with poles.

 

"Pressure" is dropping at midnight

 

Listening to this in the wake of his split from Kacey makes it super, super sad.

 

Obviously haven't heard the whole thing, but I was thinking the same during the second verse of "Rubber."

 

My wife and I's first dance song was Closest Thing...

Alive probably has that feeling as well.

Yeah, both "Brave" and "Rubber" are retroactively sadder as well.

This is way more uptempo than I thought it’d be based on the live version. What a lovely song though. Instantly one of my favorites by him.

 

Might be my favorite vocal performance from him yet, he sounds so good. Great song.

 

He sounds so much like Jon Foreman at the beginning of “Pressure.” Totally caught me by surprise.

 

This is so good. He is my favorite artist on the planet.

Came here to post this after noticing it too. I'm glad they're able to communicate like this but it almost breaks my heart even more haha. They obviously still care about each other a lot.

is there any information about what happened between them? really respect their privacy but if they spoke about it publicly, I hope its a situation of them just growing apart over the last few years.

 

When you do it on multiple platforms it sounds like an agreed upon startegy

 

I know that was a typo but I will now be using the word startegy (n.) to refer to a strategic beginning
