‘Rubber’ is so good i need to see him live. i regret missing the opportunity to drive to DC and see him last october.
"She's in a ballroom dancing And I'm singing through a hole in the wall, I want to build you a mansion, just trying to pay some dues is all" he's such a good lyricist
I saw him open for Brian Fallon before Dying Star was out and he was great. Obviously most people were there to see Brian but I'm sure he made some new fans on that tour. I talked to him for a few minutes afterwards, nice dude.
"I might die on this highway, part of me wishes I would". Fucking kills me every time. That's cool and all but I don't think I want to hear 5 songs before the album releases.
His Instagram story says that Hellfire and Morphine will be on a live record. I haven’t heard either but have seen a lot of folks asking about Hellfire. Anyway.. a live album sounds awesome
If anyone wants to sell a Dying Star test pressing, please hit me up. When they went on sale, I just missed out.
Man, Ruston deserves to be much bigger than he is and I'm sure that's going to be inevitable in his career. At the same time I'm really enjoying that he's a smaller artist right now haha
Hellfire on a live album would be rad, but they way they played it at the Ryman just really make me want to hear a studio version.
When was this a thing? Because they aren't always interactive with each other on social media? That said if they breakup I'll be devastated.
yeah I'm pretty sure a gossip article was posted about it in the other thread. just bc they deleted pics of each other or something
I’ve listened to the Emo release a ton but this might be the first time I listened to Dying Star. It’s great!
He's so good at the introspective acoustic balladry side of things, but I love how he can just throw out a huge earworm if he wants to. "Mockingbird" was that on the first album, and "Radio Cloud" is definitely that on this album.
