Fortunate to be watching this with my mom, her main thoughts so far are, “why is he wearing that hat, is he cold?! Show me a picture where he looks nice. Oh see he’s handsome!” She likes it though! Country is her favorite genre so we can meet in the middle at Dirt Emo, it’s perfect!
That was so great. There really is such a difference between the energy of doing it live and producing it immaculately as a recording. I prefer the former.

Mandolin cut out Crash Into Me from the VIP playback, lame. I've rewatched the concert about 3 times now and the VIP twice. Good background music for working.
The most recent one on his stories, I thought was him covering The Stable Song by Gregory Alan Isakov. It just had a very similar melody.
i love the ostinato feel of the drums and guitar on that. I feel like he likes to get a little weirder with in between record releases, (Weeping Willow) I wonder if this is that this time around.
