It was from his social post on the day that the album came out. I really like the title of the album. Plus its anagram is S.A.D. so that makes it perfect.
nah that wasn’t it. he talked about how seek and destroy and search and destroy were terms used a lot in metal and punk and how he thought shape and destroy was a reflection of where he’s at in life and mixing the music he likes with the music he makes. or something like that.
Shape and Destroy sounds like a term that could apply to so many things, like your life, your relationships, the environment, your country, your soul, your body, something your are working with your hands on, your art and so on. I think people will interpret and relate to it in different ways making it more meaningful to themselves.
Pretty sure "climb down the radio cloud" here means to kind of tune out the world around you in order to improve your mental health. Or to step back from the hive mind and think for yourself
Made a thread for Tyler Hilton. If you’re into Ruston, you might be into Tyler too. Tyler Hilton • forum.chorus.fm
He’s also the reason there are teardrops on Taylor Swift’s guitar (in the video, anyway) and Elvis Presley in Walk the Line.
I recently found a video of him performing with her from a long time ago. Never knew that happened haha.
Coming back to it, yeah I think the only thing on here that doesn't do a lot for me is "Jubilee". This is definitely one of my favorite releases of the year so far
i’ve listened to him. i don’t really get why he’s brought up here. they don’t sound remotely alike lol
Yeah this might end up being my favorite record to come out this year (edit: the one this thread is about that is, not the other dude that got brought up)
Ha, idk, there are definitely similarities in the timbres of their voices. I don't think their actual approach to songwriting is super similar, but I don't think the rec is totally out of place either. At worst, it's a harmless post.
