Definitely wish "Helena" was the whole song, but as a fun mini-project (that based on the title he'll do again) it's worth the price of admission for Spotify-friendly versions of "All Too Well" and "Teenage Dirtbag" alone.

definitely haha. seems fairly reasonable, given the bands on the EP, he would have at least visited the news page a few times

 

I really dig the EP as well. It seems weird to me that 2 versions of Teenage Dirtbag made it in there (as others have said) but really enjoy it. Also the fact that this is called volume 1 makes me excited for the prospect of more down the road, if only to see what other “emo” songs he’s into

 

My favorite is unsurprisingly Dammit. Given that it's the only song on there that I both know and like the original

Saw him last night in Boston. My third time seeing him. He was fantastic. Dynamics of the full band are definitely more aggressive this tour and I love it.

maybe I’m being overly cynical, but it seems there was a lot of bleed from Kacey fandom into this show. Specifically immature audience members talking incredibly loud over Donovan Woods and only screaming about Kacey during Rustons set. Very much rubbed me the wrong way. Also they were all taking obnoxious selfies mid set with flash of their dirt emo shirts.

I was concerned about that happening in Detroit but this wasn’t the case. The crowd was super quiet and respectful to Donovan Woods (except one person shouting for a specific song) and I never heard any mentions of Kacey

Side note: the full band version of Asshole is really good

 

ugh, her fandom is just as unbearable as ariana grande's at this point.
