That may or may not be true but when I saw him like a year ago he played Teenage Dirtbag, so he maybe just enjoys playing those songs.

 

Looked like it was in a studio setting though, not just him playing it live.

 

Ah okay I didn't know about the studio setting part. Yeah maybe he is recording a covers cd then. I'd be down with that.
